Bend Man Jailed For Assault

A Bend man was arrested on assault and weapons charges after allegedly assaulting another man at a residence in Awbrey Pines Condos apartment complex in northwest Bend. Brandon Chadbourne, 43, surrendered after a crisis negotiator contacted him by phone at the residence Saturday night. Two officers met the 37-year old victim at the hospital and developed probable cause to arrest Chadbourne for Assault II and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Spike Strips & K-9 Help Capture Terrebonne Man A 23 year old Terrebonne man was finally taken into custody after a police pursuit that started in Bend early this morning and ended with spike strips deployed and a Bend Police K-9 biting the suspect. Elk Meadow Elementary School and Pine Ridge Elementary School were also notified to be on locked down during the incident. Shawn Ray Ison is being held on a list of charges after a citizen reported a suspicious vehicle in the area of 494 NW Lava Rd. in the City of Bend. The caller thought the driver of the vehicle might have been intoxicated. A Bend Police Officer responded and the vehicle immediately left at a high rate of speed. The Bend Police Officer did not pursue, but was able to give out a vehicle description along with a license plate. This information was passed along to local law enforcement agencies.
