Aging out of the program and fulfilling her dream of being a princess, she continued to remain a part of the local Miss City of Maricopa/Miss America organization until it dissolved in November 2020 after the national organization headed in a different direction. “It’s not just the crown, it’s finding out who you are. I was given lots of opportunities, like learning to (public) speak and being a good role model,” she said. “Some of my girls that are current title holders I’ve known since they were 5. It’s been fun to grow up with them.”

Doug Ducey issued an advisory Tuesday to accelerate COVID-19 vaccine distribution across the state and move doses to where they can be rapidly administered to residents. “The COVID-19 vaccination is our best shot at returning to life as it should be. Over the last two weeks, the COVID-19 vaccination site at State Farm Stadium has become a national model for vaccine administration,” Ducey said in a news release. “With adequate vaccine doses, we can build on this success, both at our existing vaccination sites, and at additional sites across the state. This advisory will provide transparency in the pace of vaccination administration and allow us to direct vaccine doses to where they will be most rapidly distributed.”

PHOENIX — On Dec. 15, Scott Alan King Sr., 61, of Benson, was found guilty in two separate criminal cases of Contracting Without a License, a Class 1 Misdemeanor, in the Benson Justice Court. The Arizona Registrar of Contractor’s investigations found King contracted for one price but the job eventually became more expensive, costing the homeowner more money for more materials and eventually to have King’s work repaired. This is a common theme in unlicensed contracting investigations and often one of the first red flags.
