From its iconic castle and cathedrals to its outdoor market and churches, Norwich is a city with enviable architecture.
And while its skyline may not be as instantly recognisable outside of these parts as global cities like London and New York, the moniker of a fine city is an appropriate one.
But now, thanks to retired financial worker Richard McCrohan, it can join these international metropolises in being recreated from Lego.

Mr McCrohan, who went to the City of Norwich School but now lives in Shropshire, has taken 906 pieces of Lego and created a scaled down replica of the city s centre, having designed the model himself on the Danish construction toy giant s website.

Children of key workers are entitled to attend school during the lockdown, according to government regulations. But many head teachers say they simply do not have enough places. In Norfolk, some have seen more than twice as many requests from parents compared to the first lockdown. Why has there been so much demand this time and how will schools meet it?

Ted Hare (pictured), social care innovator, has died aged 79

An innovator in social care in Norfolk and with a lifelong passion for creative solutions to help people, Ted Hare, has died aged 79.
When poor health ended his career prematurely after 30 years, Mr Hare had been Norfolk’s director of adult social services.
However, four years later, in 1999, he had quadruple heart surgery and made a complete recovery.
With renewed enthusiasm, he spent the next 25 years as a nationally respected healthcare and social care consultant.
He became heavily involved with Norfolk groups and charities including serving as chairman of Thornage Hall Independent Living, near Holt, and vice-chairman of Aylsham and District Care Trust.
