Barrow culture: Survey launches to gather views
Residents and visitors are urged to take part by completing Barrow Borough Council’s short questionnaire online.
It seeks information on whether people are more likely to book events and days out in advance since the end of lockdown as well as the most popular town centre locations for activities to take place.
The results will be used to help shape the type of events on offer in years to come by ensuring the infrastructure to host them is available in the right places as part of #BrilliantBarrow – a series of innovative projects which are set to transform the town for generations to come.

DETAILED plans are being drawn up to ensure the ambitious #BrilliantBarrow initiative can move forward in its entirety in 2021. Barrow was one of the first towns in the country to be awarded £25 million from the government’s £3.6 billion Towns Fund in October. The huge scheme is aiming to transform Barrow through seven key projects which will be fundamental in helping the area thrive for future generations to come. Further work detailing how each project can be completed within the funding allocation is currently underway. This will then be submitted to the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government as the next step in the formal process to unlock the promised sum for the town.
