(Fargo, ND) A traffic update for everyone who frequents the Downtown Fargo area.
Beginning 7 a.m. on Monday, March 15th, southbound traffic on University Drive North will be reduced to one lane between 9th Avenue North and 8th Avenue North for street surface repairs.
The road is expected to fully reopen by the end of the day on Tuesday, March 16th.

(Fargo, ND) One of those who broke into businesses during the Downtown Fargo riots in May of last year has been sentenced for his crimes.
United States Attorney Drew Wrigley announced Monday that U.S. District Court Chief Judge Peter D. Welte sentenced 21-year-old Abdimanan Bana Habib to four months incarceration followed by three years of supervised released for the charge
of Civil Disorder. Judge Welte also ordered Habib to pay $2,500 in restitution.
On May 30th, 2020, Habib, a Fargo native, participated in riots that erupted in Fargo following George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis. What started as peaceful protests in Fargo turned violent when rioters, including Habib, broke into several Fargo businesses and buildings, including JL Beers, Vinyl Taco, and the Exchange Building.
(Fargo, ND) A relatively quiet night turning into a crime scene in Downtown Fargo early Sunday morning. The Fargo Police Department says officers on patrol on Broadway behind the Bismarck Tavern heard what they believed to be gunshots just after midnight. They then located three victims with apparent gun shot wounds. The injured were taken to area hospitals with undisclosed
(Fargo, ND) The U.S. Attorney s Office announces an arrest in connection with the axe attack on North Dakota Senator John Hoeven s Downtown Fargo office from back on December 21 of last year. Authorities say Thomas Alexander Starks was taken into custody and faces multiple charges in connection with the attack. The suspect, if convicted faces both prison time and a fine.
