Lahore to Get a Private Sector Technology Park The Area Development Plan rules that were recently promulgated by Lahore Development Authority (LDA) are gaining traction. These rules have allowed developers to plan innovative large projects along the main arteries of Lahore, which is curbing down on illegal and unsightly strip development that has been seen otherwise in the metropolitan so far. In a recent meeting of the LDA governing body, two projects of 101 Kanals and 88 Kanals were approved. Zaamin Group from Lahore – developers of a private housing scheme called Zaamin City – has announced plans to set up three Technology Parks. These will be constructed on approximately 150 Kanals each and will help accomplish the government’s objectives of higher IT exports.

(SPA) Riyadh - Asharq Al-Awsat Saudi Arabia wants to localize its pharmaceutical industries in anticipation of any future changes at the level of supply chains. Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar al-Khorayef announced that localization is now the government’s top priority given the importance of drug security. Khorayef stressed that all parts of the industrial system complement their roles in providing the necessary infrastructure, financing and logistical support. The minister visited Monday al-Madina al-Munawwara Industrial City where he inspected services and progress in various projects. He indicated that localization and providing a suitable job environment for Saudis is equally important as localizing the pharmaceutical industry itself.
