NAVTTC gets new executive director July 7, 2021 Islamabad: Sajid Baloch a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) has been posted as Executive Director, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training. Sajid Baloch) has 26 years’ experience of working in public sector and development sector, including United Nations. Previously he has served as Registrar, Islamabad High Court, Financial Advisor / Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance, and Director General, BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme) and Director General Basic Education. He has a reputation as a competent, public-friendly and honest officer and a good administrator.

MoU inked for training of TVET leaders, instructors July 4, 2021 Islamabad: National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) under the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is providing latest technological skills to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) leaders and instructors in its efforts to affiliate/accredit Pakistani institutes with reputed international organisations. For this NAVTTC has signed a MoU with world renowned Institute of Technical Education Services (ITEES) Singapore. For the first batch of TVET leadership training Singapore’s Temasek Foundation will be providing funding for training by Singapore ITEES. It is pertinent to mention that NAVTTC is establishing 75 high-tech skill centers across Pakistan for providing the latest technological skills to Pakistani youth. Vocational courses begin at Lok Virsa July 4, 2021 Islamabad: The National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) had started classes of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses. Executive Director Lok Virsa Talha Ali told APP, that the Institute was providing classes of Documentary and Film Making and Miniature Painting. The project was started with the collaboration of National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and Lok Virsa. He said students from different walks of life can take the admission to get the advantage with qualified faculty. Talking to APP, an artist Raza Mehmood said such kind of activities provide a platform for the students to refine their skills in a better way with learning from qualified teachers from renowned universities.
