DOMINICA: In ten years all energy will be renewable
THIS WEEK saw the Commonwealth of Dominica hold Stakeholder Consultation on National Energy Policy.
The (NEP) consultation was held to inform on the role and value of the policy to Dominica; to build an appreciation for the background and process in the development of a draft NEP; to provide an opportunity to obtain feedback and input from stakeholders to assist in finalising the document and; to confirm the process for integrating feedback prior to submission to Government and outline the process for ongoing technical assistance.
In addressing the large group of participants, Dr. Reginald Thomas, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Blue and Green Economy, Agriculture and National Food Security highlighted the importance of the NEP which he explained will enable Dominica to transform into a sustainable and vibrant economy.
KINGSPORT â The Kingsport Office of Small Business Development & Entrepreneurship (KOSBE) has announced 11 winners in the 2020 KOSBE Awards, a tradition that was started by the Kingsport Chamber in partnership with Kingsport Times News in 1994.

CINCINNATI, December 11, 2020 /3BL Media/ – Fifth Third Bank, National Association, has announced the launch of the Greater Cincinnati COVID-19 Small Business Response and Recovery Initiative to ensure the success of small businesses in Hamilton County. The Initiative will provide small businesses of 25 or fewer employees (with an emphasis on small businesses with five or fewer employees) in low-to-moderate income communities that have been impacted by the pandemic with advice and pathways to accessing capital, via the Initiative’s loan and grant programs.
Fifth Third has invested an initial $700,000; additional funding partner Greater Cincinnati Foundation has invested $250,000 and JPMorgan Chase has invested $100,000.
