SRINAGAR, MAY 15: While Jammu & Kashmir Government has augmented the capacity of oxygen production at different hospitals on war footing; the Private Industrial Sector is also lending support to Government in its fight against Covid crisis with the production of Oxygen in their industrial Units.
One such unit, JK Gases, situated at Old Airport Rangreth, Srinagar has come forward to fight against oxygen scarcity and is assisting the government since the emergence of second Covid wave which has forced public and private sector to mobilize their resources for tackling and mitigating the pandemic effect and save precious lives.
SRINAGAR: The second wave of Covid-19 pandemic has seen huge surge of Covid positive cases which has created a necessity of increased oxygen production to support hospitals because oxygen is the elementary lifeline and most important life supporting weapon to help severe Covid Positive patients to recover from the disease.
In this regard, the Jammu & Kashmir Government has put together all the resources to increase the oxygen production and maintain the oxygen supply chain with ever growing demand for oxygen.
In Kashmir all the tertiary hospitals have been equipped with oxygen concentration plants to cope up with pandemic induced demand.
Govt Orders Constituting of Committee To Ensure Oxygen Supply To All J&K Hospitals
Srinagar 17 April: The J&K government on Saturday issued an order to constitute a committee to ensure an adequate and timely supply of medical oxygen to all the hospitals in the UT.
The order came from the government at a time when the covid19 cases are rising across the J&K. As the covid19 positive patients often felt the need of oxygen requirement in the view of their low oxygen levels.
Order copy lying with KNB reads, “Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of a to ensure adequate and timely committee, comprising the following, supplying medical oxygen to all hospitals to meet the requirements of Covid-19 patients, in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.”
