Islamabad:The concerned department has completed the process of 1,508 apartments/housing units possession and handed over to applicants under Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP).
These apartments and housing units have been handed over to applicants in collaboration with the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF). The information provided by Cabinet Division here, around 20,03,940 citizens applied for registration in Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) during Phase-I and II of registration, of which 17,99,533 became eligible.

The Sindh government distributed the Benazir Mazdoor Card to labourers on Friday.
At a ceremony held at the Chief Minister s House, the provincial government launched the card under which labourers across Sindh would be entitled to avail benefits such as education, health and financial assistance under the Sindh Workers Welfare Fund Act 2014 and amendment 2018 provided they register themselves with the Sindh Employees Social Security Institution (SESSI) and pay contribution at the rate of six percent of the minimum wage fixed by the provincial government.
KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Saturday asked the federal government to direct the Federal Board of Revenue to stop collection of the Workers Welfare Fund immediately and the funds collected so far should be transferred to Sindh government.
He said this while addressing the distribution ceremony of Benazir Mazdoor Card organised by the labour department here at the CM House. The ceremony was attended by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, provincial ministers, industrialist, labour leaders and workers.
Mr Bhutto-Zardari said that the PPP government in Sindh was observing Labour Day by launching the ‘Benazir Mazdoor Card’ under which workers would be able to avail all necessary benefits and facilities such as education, health, marriage grants, financial assistance, scholarships and pensions.
