Freeway closures scheduled for this weekend may change for weather There are several weekend traffic closures throughout the Valley but are subject to change due to potential weather. and last updated 2021-01-22 12:09:59-05 PHOENIX — There may be several freeway closures this weekend, January 22-25, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Schedules may change, depending on weather. Eastbound Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) closed between Seventh Street and Cave Creek Road in north Phoenix from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Jan. 25) for widening project. North- and southbound I-17 ramps to eastbound Loop 101 closed. Eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at 27th and Seventh avenues also closed.

Author: Vanessa Ramirez Updated: 7:46 AM MST January 22, 2021 PHOENIX Here’s a breakdown of the closures and restrictions you can expect to see around the Valley this weekend.  Northeast Valley Loop 101 eastbound is closed between 7th Street and SR 51 for a widening project from Friday 10 p.m. until Monday 5 a.m. I-17 northbound and southbound ramps to Loop 101 eastbound are closed. Loop 101 eastbound on-ramps at 27th Avenue and 7th Avenue are closed as well. Drivers can consider using eastbound Union Hills Drive to SR 51 northbound to reach Loop 101 eastbound. Drivers can also use eastbound Deer Valley Road to southbound 7th Street, eastbound Union Hills Drive and SR 51 northbound.
