SL Green today revealed plans for Summit One Vanderbilt, a thrill-inducing
observatory atop the 1,401 ft. midtown skyscraper.
Designed by Kenzo Digital and with interiors by Snøhetta, the deck offers jaw-dropping views along with “curated multi-sensory experiences and cutting-edge technology to offer an unprecedented guest experience spanning art, nature, and design.”
When it opens on October 21, visitors will be able to take
an all-glass enclosed elevator called Ascent which travels up the outside of
the building before stepping out into fully transparent glass sky boxes called
Levitation that jut out of the building and suspend guests 1,063 ft. above
Madison Avenue.
