PM Modi, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the damages caused by Cyclone Yaas

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today reviewed the post-cyclon situation and damages caused by Cyclone Yaas at a meeting in Odisha.
The Prime Minister was received by Governor Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Pratap Sarangi at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar.
The review meeting happened at the airport conference hall, and is expected to continue till mid-day.
Cyclone Yaas, with wind speeds up to 145 kmph hit parts of the east coast on Wednesday, killing at least four people and leaving behind a trail of damaged homes and flooded farmland, forcing more than 21 lakh people to be evacuated to safe shelters in the states of West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand.
PM opens Maritime India Summit 2021
India is very serious about growing in the maritime sector and emerging as a leading Blue Economy, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday. He added that the country would operationalise 23 waterways by 2030. The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways had created a list of 400 projects with a potential of ₹2.25 lakh crore investments.
The Prime Minister was inaugurating the Maritime India Summit 2021 through videoconferencing, said a press release from Press Information Bureau.
Minister of Transport of Denmark Benny Englebrecht, Chief Ministers of Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Mansukh Mandaviya were present on the occasion, the release said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday will dedicate to the nation Bharat Petroleum s Propylene Derivatives Petrochemical Complex at Kochi Refinery and Inland Waterways Authority s Roll-on/Roll-off vessels, at Willingdon Island. He would also inaugurate Cochin Port Trust s International Cruise Terminal and Cochin Shipyard s Vigyana Sagar, campus for Marine Engineering Training Institute, an official press release said.
Modi will also lay the foundation stone of Cochin Port Trust s South Coal Berth.
Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Mansukh L Mandaviya will attend the event, the release said.

On a brief visit to Kerala, the Prime Minister also inaugurated the Cochin Port Trust s International Cruise Terminal and Cochin Shipyard s Vigyana Sagar, a campus for Marine Engineering Training Institute. At a function here, he also laid the foundation stone of Cochin Port Trust s South Coal Berth. BPCL said the Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project (PDPP) located close to its Kochi Refinery here will produce Acrylic Acid, Oxo-Alcohol and Acrylates, which are predominantly imported, at present.
