Camera captures SE Houston car wash owner beaten with crowbar and then dragged KTRK

A car wash owner in southeast Houston was beaten with a crowbar and then tied up and dragged throughout his office in an attack that was captured on camera.
According to police, it happened at Auto Usados, an auto sales shop in the 6700 block of Telephone Road on Tuesday morning.
A 68-year-old man was inside his office when he heard someone knocking on the door. Video shows the man going to unlock the door, thinking it was a potential customer. That s when the suspect is seen forcing his way into the office with a handgun.

A third person with minor injuries was trapped in the wreckage of the Toyota Prius, and required major extrication.
The gravel truck spilled its load onto the roadway, and clean-up crews were dispatched to the scene.
An urban heavy search and rescue vehicle unit from the city of Santa Maria was called in to assist on the incident.
Additional details were not immediately available.

Semi-truck crash causes traffic backup in Santa Maria
SANTA MARIA, Calif. – A crash involving a semi-truck and sedan caused a major traffic backup Friday morning near Santa Maria.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded around 10 a.m. to the intersection of Telephone Road and E. Betteravia Road.
First responders found a semi-truck had collided with a Toyota Prius and both vehicles were stuck together.
Fire crews worked to separate the vehicles and one person was trapped in the vehicle and needed to be extricated by firefighters.
Three people were injured. Two were transported to the hospital with moderate injuries.
