Executive Decree No. 198 of May 7, 2021 (the
Executive Decree ) was published in Official Gazette No. 29290-A of May 20, 2021, which creates the short-stay visa as a remote worker (the
Short-Stay Visa as a Remote Worker ) and other provisions are enacted.
Taking advantage of Panama s organized economy for the provision of national and international services and with the purpose of boosting investment and consumption of local goods and services, the Executive Decree seeks to convert Panama as a destination for those non-resident foreigners, in remote work or telecommuting modalities so that they may perform their functions from Panama.
The Executive Decree creates within the Non-Resident migratory category, the Short-Stay Visa as Remote Worker, applicable to the foreigner who complies with the following conditions:

During the first quarter of 2021, the Montserrat Tourism Division, Office of the Premier, has been engaging in a series of marketing activities to enhance the island’s destination awareness in North America and Europe.
Beginning in February, the Division participated in the Adventure Travel Network Conference & Marketplace and were joined by industry veteran, James “Scriber” Daley in a series of one-on-one meetings with travel professionals who specialize in developing outdoor/adventure programmes for groups and individual travelers from the UK.
This was followed in March by Virtual Unite Caribbean, another UK event that brought together tour operators and travel advisors in the UK for one-on-one meetings with national tourism offices from the Caribbean.

With the pandemic a lot has changed, including how and where you work. Many jobs have continued to allow their employees to work from home permanently and West Virginia has just launched a remote worker program.
The program is called Ascend WV, which will pay you $12,000, plus a year s worth of free outdoor recreation if you move to West Virginia.
The program is currently accepting applications for people who will commit to living in Morgantown, but Shepardstown and Lewisburg will later be included.
The program will also include abscess to free co-working space in West Virginia s mountain town; free access to outdoor gear rentals; and the ability to earn remote work certifications through West Virginia University.
