Mologic and the University of Liverpool collaborate to develop a rapid diagnostic test for common agricultural parasite Dec 15 2020 Mologic Ltd, a leading developer of lateral flow and rapid diagnostic technologies, today announced it is in the final developmental stages of a pen-diagnostic test with the University of Liverpool, which will allow farmers and vets to diagnose livestock exposure to fluke on-farm, with results available within 10 minutes. Prevalent in over 70 countries worldwide and a common parasite affecting cattle and sheep in the UK, Fasciola hepatica (the liver fluke) is estimated to cause over the US 3.2 billion dollars in livestock production losses.
