4 MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — After Team Anthracite wrapped up pool play at the Elite 11 Finals on Saturday afternoon, five-star cornerback Domani Jackson had to make a call to USC cornerbacks coach Donte Williams. “I was like, ‘Woah, woah. This dude can really change the program,” Jackson said. “I didn’t really know too much about him before coming out here, but he put on a hell of a show.” Nine months ago, USC surprisingly took a commitment from a little-known quarterback from Arizona named Devin Brown. At the time, Brown was a three-star prospect. His high school stats weren’t eye-popping either. To boot, there were a few blue-chip quarterbacks in Southern California — Maalik Murphy and AJ Duffy — some members of the fan base were more enamored with. Brown’s commitment generated more questions than excitement.
