Group lauds Gov Ikpeazu s infrastructural strides in Abia

Daily Post Nigeria Published A socio-cultural group, Ntighauzo Amairi Progressives, has lauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s infrastructural stride, describing it as unprecedented in the history of Abia State. In a statement signed by its President, Adindu Johnson, the group explained that some projects such as Agalaba Ring Road, are legacies that will outlive decades after the governor’s reign. The Abia group said it is appreciative of the governor’s benevolence which has immensely benefited sons and daughters of the community. While the group prays for the governor’s intervention on the road linking Ukpakiri-Abayi- Ntighauzo and other neighbouring communities, it prayed that the governor considers sons and daughters of the community for key appointments in his government.

Buhari govt looking for trouble - NASU warns against workers pay cut

The Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU) has warned the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government, not to toy with civil servants. The Street Vendor Project, an advocacy group representing 2,000 vendors, claims Related has deployed security guards to harass vendors. It also said the developer enlisted the police, whose officers ticketed several sellers stationed near the Vessel sculpture. In addition, the organization says Related placed planters in their spots, extending sidewalk tree pits to push vendors out. This week, the situation escalated when police officers issued tickets, alleging the sellers were illegally operating on sidewalk space smaller than the mandatory 12 feet, according to the Street Vendor Project.
