As the 2021 Iowa legislative session has begun this week, Washington County-area residents can hear from their elected officials tomorrow on what’s expected to reach the Governor’s desk. The Washington Chamber of Commerce is hosting their first of four scheduled legislative briefings from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on Zoom. Representatives Jarad Klein and Joe Mitchell and senators Kevin Kinney and Jeff Reichmann will be allowed to give a brief update on the session, followed by a question and answer session with the virtual audience moderated by Chamber Executive Director Michelle Redlinger. She recommends participants to join the Zoom meeting a few minutes early to make sure their audio and video is functioning properly. Briefings are scheduled for the third Saturday of the month through April.
