The Tailings, coming to SBS on Demand.
The 6 x 10-minute mystery transports viewers to a remote town nestled amidst the eerie and hauntingly beautiful West Coast Tasmanian mountains, and explores the experience of two women (Tegan Stimson and Mabel Li) confronting the paradoxical layers of grief.
The ensemble castfeatures Kris McQuade (
Rosehaven, Wentworth), playing Jas’s grandmother who is grappling with supporting her granddaughter while processing her own loss. She is joined by Victoria Haralabidou (
Deep Water), Nic English (
Reckoning) and an array of local Tasmanian talent including Shaun Martindale, Sara Cooper, John Xintavelonis Harry Prior, Harry Radbone, Michael Earnshaw, Tai Nguyen, and Jane Hamilton Foster.
