A release from the department on Saturday morning said police responded to a reported armed robbery in the area of West Rosemary Street and Mitchell Lane around 8:42 p.m. A small group of women reported being approached by a young man and a young woman. According to police, the female suspect brandished a firearm and the pair robbed the victims before leaving the area on foot. The police department’s release said around 8:53 p.m., a group of men reported being robbed on North Roberson Street in Chapel Hill. The suspects in the incident fit the description of the suspects in the first armed robbery.
