Finch named to Dean’s List

Hannah Finch of Chipley was named to the Dean’s List at Trinity Baptist College for the Fall 2020 semester by President Mac Heavener, Jr. This honor is the result of earning a 3 .5 grade point average or higher for the semester while completing a full-time course load.
Trinity Baptist College is located in Jacksonville, Florida and specializes in training men and women for life and ministry. With a growing student body of nearly 350 students, TBC has graduates serving across the United States and around the globe. On Dec. 4, Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU) fall graduates were able to walk the stage, after the first virtual commencement was held back in May 2020. This year will be a little different because we ll be conducting two ceremonies, stated the SAGU Facebook page. The graduate ceremony was held at 3 p.m., and the undergraduate ceremony was held at 6 p.m. The ceremonies were broadcast live for graduates and their families.
A total of 213 degrees were earned for the 2020 fall semester by 147 graduates.
Of these 213 degrees, 61 students earned Associate s degrees, 96 earned Bachelor’s degrees, 33 earned Master’s degrees and three earned Doctor of Ministry degrees.

This fall, Liberty University’s John W. Rawlings School of Divinity launched the new Church Ministry in the Digital Age specialization under the Master of Arts in Religion and the Master of Divinity programs, offered residentially and online.
Comprised of courses centering on digital community, theology, formation, and strategies, the new specialization is taught primarily by its creator Dr. Steve Lowe, graduate chair for the Christian Leadership and Church Ministries Department. Lowe started developing his ideas for the specialization in 2015 and presented proposals last year. The new track is one of the first of its kind in the field, combining foundational religion courses with digital ministry courses to focus on practical applications.
