Syracuse, N.Y. Two people are accused of murdering a man and trying to kill a woman last summer in a shooting near Washington Square Park in Syracuse.
Jonathan Sanchez, 19, and Angel Rosario, 15, have been charged with murdering Draquan McDonald, 24, on the city’s North Side. McDonald died shortly after he was shot in the back near Wolf and Park streets.
Angel Rosario is living his dream as a Lancaster city firefighter.
âItâs something I wanted to do for a very long time, and I was finally able to fulfill all the requirements and be sworn in,â said Rosario, who was hired in January 2020.
A first generation firefighter, Rosario, 30, said he is most grateful for the opportunity to learn on the job from colleagues beyond the standard training at the fire academy.
âI love the brotherhood that we share when we are here or on the field,â said the departmentâs most recent hire. âWe are essentially a family away from home.â
