This Black History Month, we ve been shining a light on various aspects of the Black experience in Boston.
We ve remembered pioneering legends such as former state Rep. Doris Bunte and architect Donald Stull, and have taken stock of how those communities hit hardest by the coronavirus are tackling equity and hesitancy in the vaccine rollout.
Today, we speak with three Black professionals who are part of Boston s business community, and discuss their experiences working in this city, and working to diversify it racially, economically and otherwise.
We re joined by Teri Williams, president and COO of Boston-based OneUnited Bank, the country s largest Black-owned bank. Also with us is Kristen Ransom, co-owner of IncluDe Innovation and IncluDe Web Design, and Sheena Collier, founder of the membership networks Boston While Black and The Collier Connection.

Jan 6 (Reuters) - Miguel Cabezola, a driver for United Parcel Service Inc in Tucson, Arizona, complained on March 27 to U.S. workplace safety regulators, alleging the company was taking a lax approach to social distancing, sanitizing equipment and quarantining workers with COVID-19 symptoms. He hoped for an inspection of the facility that would force changes to protect worker safety.
Instead, the state arm of the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) summarized Cabezola’s concerns in an email to company management, reviewed the UPS response and closed the file.
Over the next two months, a COVID-19 outbreak infected more than 40 Tucson UPS workers - including a manager who eventually died - and caused delivery delays throughout southern Arizona, according to interviews with six Tucson UPS workers and local union officials of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

PHOENIX (AP) A Las Vegas-based tour bus heading to the Grand Canyon rolled over in northwestern Arizona on Friday, killing one person and critically injuring two others, authorities said.
The cause of the wreck around noon Friday was not yet known, said Anita Mortensen, a spokeswoman for the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. It wasn’t clear if any other vehicle was involved. A photo from the sheriff’s office showed the bus on its side on a curving road, with no snow or rain in the remote area.
