More than a month has passed since the mass shooting at the King Soopers on Table Mesa in Boulder. For the first time, employees who were at the store that day when 10 people died share what they saw to 9NEWS. Several of the victims were employees themselves. It definitely doesn t feel like over a month, said Logan Smith, a barista at the Starbucks inside the Boulder King Soopers. Every single day has felt like just one day. Smith was working at the Starbucks when he heard the gunfire. He visits the store several times a week to pay his respects at the memorial. On the day of the shooting he was not sure he was going to walk out of the King Soopers alive.

Since then, the paper crane has become an international symbol of healing, hope and peace. Last week, local artists came to the Museum of Boulder to help with a similar effort the Memorial Crane Project.

(KRDO) Prosecutors filed 43 new charges against the suspect accused of shooting and killing ten people inside a Boulder King Soopers on March 22. On March 25, the 22-year-old suspect was officially charged with ten counts of Murder in the First Degree and One Count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the First Degree. 9News reports the suspect could now face 54 total charges. Those charges are: 33 counts of attempted first-degree murder 1 count of first-degree assault 10 counts of using a prohibited large capacity magazine during a crime Before the shooting, the suspect previously faced a charge of third-degree assault, which is a misdemeanor, in 2017 when he was still in high school.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The 22-year-old Arvada man accused of killing 10 people inside a Boulder King Soopers last month now faces more than 50 charges in connection with the shooting. Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa was previously charged with 10 counts of first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder of a police officer in the 20th Judicial District Court. On Wednesday, a motion was filed to charge the alleged shooter with an additional 32 counts of first-degree attempted murder — 19 of them for attempting to kill police officers, according to the court document. The motion separated each attempted murder charge into three categories: civilians (both employees and customers), “first law enforcement entry into King Soopers” and “second law enforcement into King Soopers.”
