Tirupati By Poll: Fake Voters Caught On Cam Published by GulteDesk April 17, 2021 The by-election for Tirupati Lok Sabha constituency has turned crucial with the three major political parties YSRCP, TDP and BJP-Janasena combine are vying upto prove their strength in the temple town. Amidst this, the ruling party is allegedly using all his strength, muscle and political power. Opposition parties alleging that the ruling party is behind several fake voters thronging to the city and polling booths. Some fake voters are said to have been identified while standing in queues outside polling booths. During a normal inspection by the Election Officer, many of these ‘fake’ voters have struggled to recall the names on their voter ID and their parents/spouse name and their address.

Noting that the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India and Chief Electoral Officer, West Bengal, need to be implemented in the strictest manner possible , the Court has directed the Administration to ensure the same.
