(ABC Radio Hobart: Catherine Zengerer) Walking into botanical artist Deborah Wace s studio is like walking into a colourful garden. The walls are hung with drapes printed in the pinks and greens and silvers of Tasmanian native orchids, sea kelps and ferns, others are adorned with wallpapers in buttongrass yellows and fagus gold. Turning around you see brightly printed cushions, racks hung with scarves and other garments in luxurious silks printed with stunning designs created from her collection of beautiful, but critically endangered, Tasmanian flora.
