Showrunner Says Doctor Who Season 13 Release Date Still Uncertain

Doctor Who wrapped up its twelfth season with the Doctor taken into a distant prison in space. In 2021, the Time Lord will return with a brand new set of adventures, whose premiere date is yet to be announced. While talking with
EW, showrunner Chris Chibnall revealed that production on the upcoming, eight-episode season is currently on-going.
“We’re filming as we speak,” he said. “We’ve got lots of new characters, new monsters, some old ones coming back. We’re only a few weeks in. We’re obviously having to work in a very different way, under COVID protocols. So, it’s not without its challenges but every series of Doctor Who has had its challenges. At the moment, everybody’s smiling and what we’ve got so far is really thrilling.”
