POWHATAN, Va. (WWBT) - Virginia State Police have located a convicted sex offender who they say failed to re-register, which is required by law.
Thanks to an anonymous tip, State Police located Bruce Rowland Cox Jr, 42, and took him into custody.
Police said he was registered to a home in Powhatan County but left at some point in January and has not registered a new address.
âHe last registered with state police in February 2020 and listed his employment address at a factory in Powhatan County. State police has confirmed that Cox has not worked there in almost a year,â VSP said.

ARAB, Ala. (WAFF) - WAFF 48 is learning more about a Marshall County man who is facing federal charges on being a part of a militia group and storming the Capitol on January 6.
33-year-old Joshua James lives on Brashierâs Chapel Road in Arab. FBI agents raided his home on March 9 and one neighbor witnessed it all.
âI couldnât believe it, I couldnât believe I was looking at my neighbor that was in the Capitol during this riot,â said Tim Jones.
