In response to a question by MP Patrick Tay, Minister Tan See Leng revealed additional insights on the HR demographic in the nation.
These, and more, statistics on the HR profession in Singapore were provided in response to a Parliamentary question (PQ) filed on Monday (26 July 2021).
For instance, it was shared that approximately nine in 10 (90%) HR practitioners are in professional, managerial, executive or technicians (PMET) roles that include learning and development manager, performance and rewards manager, and HR operations executive.
“Locals have consistently filled close to nine in 10 of HR PMET positions,” the response cited.
Encouragingly, women comprise approximately seven in 10 (70%) HR practitioners in Singapore.
