TSMC to hire 9,000 new staff to meet business and technology needs

Taipei, March 5 (CNA) Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) on Friday said it plans to recruit about 9,000 new employees this year to cope with the company s growing business and technology development needs.
TSMC said it was holding a campus job fair that day at National Taiwan University in Taipei, one of a series of similar events over the next few months.
According to the world s largest contract chipmaker, job fairs will be held at nine other colleges in New Taipei, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, Yunlin and Kaohsiung until April and 3,000 students are expected to attend.
GreenMetric ranks NPUST top green school in Taiwan

National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) has announced that it hit the top spot in Taiwan and fourth in Asia on this year’s listing of the world’s most sustainable universities.
The university remained No. 1 in Taiwan for the seventh consecutive year, and was listed among the greenest universities internationally, the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings showed.
In the latest global rankings, NPUST reached No. 31, up from No. 37 in 2019, while it moved up two places in the Asia rankings, from No. 6 in 2019.
The university attributed its rankings to efforts to improve campus infrastructure and waste disposal.

Taipei, Dec. 30 (CNA) National Pingtung University of Science & Technology (NPUST) has been ranked No. 1 in Taiwan and No. 4 in Asia on the 2020 list of the most sustainable universities worldwide, according to the university.
It is the seventh consecutive year that NPUST has retained the No. 1 spot in Taiwan and has been listed among the greenest universities in Asia and the world, the GreenMetric World University Rankings showed.
On the 2020 global list, NPUST was ranked 31st, up from 37th in 2019, while it moved up two places in the Asia rankings from 6th last year.
