SIMPSON BAY: - The Management Board of Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company N.V. (SXM), comprising of Michel Hyman - Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Leo van der Meiden - Chief Financial Officer (CFO), in conjunction with Dexter Doncher, Managing Director of the Princess Juliana International Airport Holding (PJIAH), the shareholder of PJIAE N.V., are fully committed to the completion of the Airport Terminal Reconstruction Project and its business recovery and continuity of the Airport’s operations.
The reconstruction of the terminal, as previously reported, is made possible, through the financing arrangements in place by the Government of St. Maarten, the World Bank, the European Investment Bank (EIB), and PJIAE’s bondholders.

As a global development institution, the World Bank works in partnership and through dialogue with all countries receiving financing under its administration. The Bank has a responsibility to provide recipients of such financing with information about any issue that may impact successful project implementation. In this context, the World Bank recently communicated with the Government of Sint Maarten concerning the Airport Terminal Reconstruction Project. The Bank emphasized the requirement of adequate technical and managerial staffing and capacity at the Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company (PJIAE), particularly as major activities are being launched under the project. In line with the Project Agreement, the Government is responsible to ensure the presence of needed capacity at PJIAE throughout the period of project implementation.

On November 9th and 10th 2020 ambulance professionals received training from ProPac in the use of their newly acquired Patient Isolation Units. The CAPSULS (Containment and protection System Utilizing Life Support) is a portable and Patient Isolation Unit (PIU).
The patient isolation unit provides filtered and directional airflow for patient life support and are equipped with features that enable medical intervention to the patient via end-user supplied medical equipment.
It comprises a flexible envelope that may be either positively or negatively pressurized. Under positive pressure operation, it isolates and protects a patient during transport, thereby mitigating the risk of exposing the patient to external contaminants and infectious agents.
