Rally Against Religious Ethos At Hospital To Be Held Today By Ciaran Halpin A rally s taking place this lunchtime over concerns about religious ethos in the new National Maternity Hospital.
The Campaign Against Church Ownership of Women s Healthcare is holding the protest outside the Dail at 1 o clock.
The group are calling for the new hospital to be publicly owned and wholly secular.
The Government says it wants to purchase the site on which it will be built but the St Vincent s Hospital Group says it won t part with the land.
The plans to relocate the hospital from the Holles Street campus where its currently located have been in motion since 2013, but the project has been plagued by delays and complications over concerns around ownership and governance.
