The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) is in mourning following the passing of two of its members within days.
Woman Sergeant Marlene Foster- Newell of the National Police College died on Sunday after ailing for sometime. Just some 48 hours later on Tuesday, the JCF was plunged into mourning again when Woman Constable Nadia Tobias-Lynch of the Junction Police Station in the St Elizabeth Division died after a short battle with illness.
Foster-Newell s 18 years of service in the police force was described by the JCF s Central Committee as the epitome of hard work and commitment to law enforcement.

A release from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has presented more details of the motor vehicle collision that led to the death of a police constable in St Andrew on Thursday morning.
Reports indicate that about 8:10 am, Constable Morrison was driving a police service motorcycle when on reaching the intersection of Arnold Road and Camp Road, a female motorist turned suddenly into the path of the service motorcycle, resulting in the collision, the CCU release said
The lawman was flung from the motorcycle and sustained multiple injuries from the overall impact.
