THE anti-stalking charity set up by a former Glasgow Times Scotswoman of the Year is to stage the world’s first ever international conference on abusive behaviour. In another groundbreaking move, Action Against Stalking, in partnership with the University of the West of Scotland, is to launch a new centre dedicated to researching harmful behaviours. Ann Moulds, who founded the charity and successfully campaigned for tougher sentences across the UK and Europe following her own stalking ordeal, explained: “Very little research has been done into stalking, and any that does exist is fragmented and out of date. “We need to move forward and we’re delighted to be working closely with UWS, with whom we already have a strong relationship.”
