July 8, 2021
ISLAMABAD: The Indian media in its latest propaganda barrage has alleged Taliban have seized the Indian-funded Salma Dam in Afghanistan’s Hirat province, an unsubstantiated claim, denied by the Afghan government and Taliban as well.
According to the Indian media, Taliban last Monday took control of Salma Dam, also known as Afghanistan-India Friendship Dam, killing 16 security staff. The Indian media claimed: “The dam was captured by Taliban in few hours, after 10 years of hard work by 1,500 workers and engineers.”
Taliban sources denying the Indian media reports said they would never harm any project(s) in Afghanistan which benefits the Afghan people.
