RALEIGH – Lowe’s executives say they are “pleased” with the turnout of people seeking 50,000 full- and part-time jobs the company began looking to fill on its “National Hiring Day.”
“I don’t have the numbers across the area, but we had a very strong turnout and were pleased with our hiring across the region,” a Lowe’s spokesperson told WRAL News.
One store in North Raleigh – featured in a WRAL News video – “hired about 30 new associates,” the spokesperson said.
“National Hiring Day” took place Tuesday.
The company says it will “hire more than 700 new associates across its Raleigh-Durham stores.”
Some offers were to be made “on-the-spot.”
