Leo Varadkar s been interviewed by Gardaí about the leaking of a Government contract to a friend when he was Taoiseach in 2019.
The paper says the NBCI also interviewed Maitiu O Tuathail, who was president of the National Association of GPs.
A criminal investigation is underway into why Leo Varadkar gave a proposed GP contract to Mr O Tuathail.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar met gardaí voluntarily earlier this month in relation to an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the disclosure of a confidential Government document to a friend two years ago.
A spokesperson for Mr Varadkar said he made a full statement and answered all questions when he met gardaí by appointment. On advice the Tánaiste cannot say anything further until the investigation is complete, the spokesperson said.

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has been interviewed by detectives from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation about the leaking of a confidential document to his friend Dr Maitiú Ó Tuathail.
Mr Varadkar was interviewed on Friday, April 9th and Dr Ó Tuathail has also been interviewed by investigating gardaí, though not in the same date as the Tánaiste. Both men were interviewed under caution and neither was arrested.
