CHARSADDA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Chairman Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao on Thursday said the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) was truly representing the sentiments of the people who wanted to see an end to this government.
“The PDM will march towards Islamabad and will stay put in the federal capital until the selected prime minister resigned,” he declared while addressing a well-attended gathering at Sherpao village here to mark the 46th death anniversary of his elder brother Hayat Mohammad Khan Sherpao.
He also expressed concern over the increasing sense of deprivation among the Pakhtuns and said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had failed to safeguard the interests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
ANP announces full support to ‘long march’ on Islamabad

PESHAWAR: The Awami National Party (ANP) has announced to fully support the opposition parties’ ‘Long March’ to Islamabad on March 26 and field joint candidates for the upcoming Senate elections.
The Pakhtun nationalist party in its central executive council meeting on Wednesday also opposed the presidential ordinance for an open ballot for the Senate polls on the ground that the government had adopted an unconstitutional and apolitical approach towards such an important legislation.
Briefing the media persons after the party’s executive council meeting, ANP central senior vice-president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said that the party had decided to stage countrywide protests for the recovery of missing persons

DADU: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has dismissed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Haleem Adil Shaikh’s reaction to the recent dismantling of his farmhouse and said he had obtained lease of land for agricultural purposes but was making its commercial use.
If someone wanted to play politics on encroachments he was free to do so but the Sindh government was only complying with orders of Supreme Court, Shah told journalists in Bhan Syedabad town on Sunday.
He said that encroachment drive had been launched across the province and it was being executed purely according to the letter and spirit of the apex court order.
With the date of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) public meeting in Hyderabad drawing closer, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah reviewed the arrangements for the event. Later, he mobilised the party's supporters in his constituency in Jamshoro district, addressing the people at multiple places and inviting them to attend the public meeting.
