SPS 27/05/2021 - 09:34 Algiers, May 27, 2021 (SPS) - The National Council for Human Rights (CNDH) stressed that the celebration of Africa Day aims to strengthen relations and exchanges between the countries that have long suffered from colonialism and racial discrimination, lamenting the enduring occupation of Western Sahara and considering it as a black spot that stains the image of Africa. The dark continent has experienced several positive developments, especially since all African countries have gained their political independence and have gathered under the banner of the African Union (AU),”  said the source.                 “All the African countries are independent, except the Republic of Western Sahara,” which is still occupied, added the CNDH.
