The Acting Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has appointed AIG Hafiz Inuwa, as the Force Secretary and a member of the Force Management Team.
The IGP re-appointed CP Frank Mba as the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) and Ag. CP Idowu Owohunwa as his Principal Staff Officer (PSO).
Inuwa takes over from AIG Mustapha Dandaura who has been redeployed to Zone 7 Police Headquarters, Abuja.
AIG Hafiz Inuwa holds a Masters degree in Public Policy and Administration (MPPA).
Prior to his appointment as the Force Secretary, he was the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13 Ukpo-Dunukofia in Awka, Anambra State, covering Anambra and Enugu State Police Commands.

EDWARDSVILLE Madison County Sheriff John Lakin has announced he will retire at the end of his term in 2022.
“I have been fortunate to work with incredibly dedicated and professional police officers throughout my career,” Lakin said in a press release announcing his retirement. “The men and women of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office are the ‘real deal’ of law enforcement and I am proud and honored to lead them. Leaving them will be the hardest part of retiring.”
One of the reasons for his announcement is that his wife, Amy, will be eligible to retire this summer after 35 years with the Illinois State Police.

Cedar Hill ISD Police Chief Hawthorne Earns Prestigious Award
‘A Huge Honor’
(CEDAR HILL, TEXAS) Cedar Hill ISD Police Chief James Hawthorne was honored to receive the Chief Don Stafford Law Enforcement Award at the 46th Annual Elite News Awards Night last month in Dallas.
“Receiving an award is special because people took time out of their day to recognize you, and that’s humbling,” Hawthorne said. “You hope you can live up to the expectations of the people who chose to award you.”
Hawthorne joined CHISD-PD in 2016, after 28 years of service with the Arlington Police Department where he retired as assistant chief.
