Nesconset Nonprofit Aims To Help Army Sergeant Bring Cats Home

Reply U.S. Army Sergeant Hetty holds Nubbs, the cat she found while stationed overseas. Sgt. Hetty turned to Nesconset-based nonprofit Paws of War for help bringing Nubbs and her litter of kittens home to the U.S. (Courtesy: Paws of War) NESCONSET, NY American Army Sergeant Hetty, while stationed overseas, rescued a cat she called Nubbs. Nubbs is the mother of a litter of kittens. Sgt. Hetty has received her orders to head back to the United States, but she can t bear the thought of leaving Nubbs and her furbabies behind. She has teamed up with the Nesconset-based nonprofit Paws of War to try to bring the felines back home to the U.S., according to a news release. However, the organization needs financial help to make it happen.

American Red Cross & V.A. Team Up To Provide Virtual Social Engagement With Veterans During COVID Pandemic RED CROSS News: PHOENIX As America commemorates U.S. Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 15, and May as National Military Appreciation Month, the Arizona and New Mexico Chapters of The American Red Cross (ARC) are partnering with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs (V.A.) to boost the Department’s Compassionate Contact Corps program (CCC), which provides companionship to Vets experiencing social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. May 21 marks the 140 th anniversary of the charter of The American Red Cross by Congress, and Service to Armed Forces (SAF) has always been one of the five core services provided by ARC.
