National Directorate of Employment (NDE) in Niger State, has begun the training of about 50 unemployed beneficiaries under the Special Public Works Department on Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS).
The Director-General of the Agency, Alhaji Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo, stated this on Tuesday in Minna at the Official Orientation ceremony, adding that the training on Plaster Of Paris (POP) was going on simultaneously in all the states of the federation including Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Represented by Mrs Francisca Eze Ako from the NDE’s headquarters in Abuja, Fiko explained that each of the local government councils will benefit from the skill acquisition programme and charged them to make use of the opportunity.

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has kicked off training on vocational skills for 594 unemployed youths in Imo.
The acting Director-General of NDE, Malam Abubakar Fikpo, made the disclosure at the launching of its Vocational Skills Development (VSD) Scheme on Friday in Owerri.
According to Fikpo, out of the 594 youths, 540 will be trained under the Basic National Open Apprenticeship (B-NOAS) while 54 will be trained under the Advanced National Open Apprenticeship (A-NOAS).
Fikpo, who was represented by the NDE Coordinator in Imo, Mrs Ngozi Ihenacho, added that the trainees would be presented with a certificate upon completion of the training.

The National Directorate of Employment, NDE, has recruited 176 youths for skills acquisition training in Bayelsa State as part of its core mandate in vocational training and employment generation.
Director-General of NDE, Mallam Abubakar Fikpo, who stated this during the orientation ceremony for the new recruits in Yenagoa, said youths were selected across the eight local government areas of the state.
While commending the beneficiaries for embracing the scheme, the NDE DG who was represented by the Bayelsa State Coordinator of NDE, Mr. Ahamefule Osuchukwu, urged them to make good use of the opportunity, pointing out that data from the National Manpower Board indicates a decline in job openings at the formal sector of the economy, while there are lots of job vacancies at the informal sector where they will operate.

Participants at the three-month-long training in Imo State, have been admonished to take the training seriously and avail themselves of other opportunities offered by the National Directorate of Employment, (NDE).
The Acting Director-General of the Directorate, Mallam Abubakar Fikpo, said this at the official launching of its 2021 Sustainable Agricultural Development Training Scheme in Imo.
Fikpo, represented by the NDE coordinator in Imo State, Mrs Ngozi Ihenacho, thanked the Federal Government for its youth-friendly initiatives. He also thanked the NDE in Imo State for the transparent selection of the100 beneficiaries of the scheme, while pledging to work together with the state government to achieve the desired results.
