BOURBON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) â It s been a difficult year for parents, teachers, and students. With school shifting from in-person to virtual, the challenges were seemingly endless.
Now, it s time to thank teachers for helping to guide families through it all during this National Teacher Appreciation Week.
While there are many teachers deserving of recognition, LEX 18 highlighted one Bourbon County teacher Tuesday.
First-grade teacher, Tiffany Adams, works at North Middletown Elementary School. Principal Gail Graves said every time Adams steps into the classroom, she aces it. Mrs. Adams just goes above and beyond, Graves said. She s always putting the extra effort in.
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Community members are honoring teachers as part of National Teacher Appreciation Week.
Monday, the La Crosse Public Education Foundation awarded special recognition grants of $150 to $250 each to three “Shining Star” employees.
These members were nominated by colleagues, parents, students and community members for their impact on students.
La Crosse Lincoln Middle School’s nutrition manager says she is honored to receive the recognition.
She says she is called to meet students needs so they can learn every day.
“Everybody’s hungry and so I just want to make sure that they all can eat so that they can learn. Because if they’re hungry they’re not gonna learn. That’s the most important thing is that they just continue to learn,” said Lincoln Middle School nutrition manager Roxanne Hicke.

WASHINGTON â U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) praised Arkansas teachers in a speech on the Senate floor in commemoration of National Teacher Appreciation Week.
âIt is clear that educators are in a class by themselves when it comes to resilience. Over the last 12 months, they have shown us what it means to be selfless and brave at a time when both were critically necessary,âÂ
Boozman said. âWhen we look back at the heroes of this tumultuous time, it is clear that teachers will be among those we honor as our societyâs most valuable players.â
Boozman is a cosponsor of the Senate-passed resolution honoring the important work of our nationâs teachers. This week, the senator will celebrate National Teacher Appreciation Week by visiting with educators across the state.
SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – After a historically challenging year, this National Teacher Appreciation Week (May 3-7), the National Education Association is continuing to celebrate the educators who serve students and their communities.
In San Diego, teachers and students were missing from the classrooms, but the Association says our teachers went above and beyond to educate students amid the coronavirus pandemic.
