CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The Christ Hospital Health Network teamed up with the American Heart Association with “Little Sweet Heart” onesies in honor of Heart Month and National Wear Red Day.
The Go Red for Women movement seeks to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease, the number one killer of women.
All babies born at The Christ Hospital Mt. Auburn and Liberty Township locations Friday, Feb. 5, Go Red Day, receive the limited-edition onesie.

February is American Heart Month, and the month kicks off with National Wear Red Day on Friday, Feb. 5. Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States even amid the current pandemic. In fact, some people are delaying treatment for heart attacks due to fear of going to the hospital.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) â Friday is National Wear Red Day to bring awareness to women s number one health threat in Lexington.
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the leading killer of women in the United States.
The American Heart Association calls on women in Lexington to spread awareness on National Wear Red Day, to bring awareness to the 1 in 3 women dying from cardiovascular disease. Furthering the concern in the Commonwealth, Kentucky ranks ninth in the country for heart disease deaths with more than 10,000 individuals dying each year.

You’d think this pandemic would have put enough emphasis on our physical well-being that we’d all learned to look after ourselves a little bit better by now.
But this year, in spite of the ongoing threat of Covid-19, the numbers are very clear that we still have a ways to go when it comes to taking care of our hearts.
According to the American Heart Association, more women died from heart disease than they did from the novel coronavirus.
More Americans overall died from heart disease than from Covid-19.
