FLINTSHIRE politicians have slammed the UK Government’s failure to act on promises to support the Welsh police force amid the pandemic. Mark Tami, Labour MP for Alyn & Deeside, has slammed the Government after the release of the Police Federation’s ‘Pay and Morale’ 2020 survey was released. The survey found that two thirds of police officers say morale has taken a major hit during the pandemic. Mr Tami said “The issue of morale is disheartening to hear, given the efforts made daily by our police officers for our community. The Home Office must take more action to make sure police officers have access to wellbeing support.”
