Telangana unemployment allowance scheme likely to be implemented next year

Hyderabad: Unemployed youths of Telangana who are eagerly waiting for the unemployment allowance scheme might have to wait for another year as the finance department that has started drafting the budget for the financial year 2021-22 has proposed to allot only Rs. 1000 crore for the scheme.
According to a report in Deccan Chronicle, there is no clarity on who is “unemployed” under the scheme. A panel of IAS officials may decide the guidelines for the scheme.

As around 10 lakh youths are registered with employment exchanges of the state government and more than 20 lakh candidates with Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), allotment of Rs. 1000 crore will not be sufficient to implement the scheme.

Hyderabad: Unemployed youth in Telangana will have to wait a bit longer to start receiving an unemployment allowance of Rs 3,016 per month from the state government.
With the election code coming into force from February 11, thanks to the Election Commission issuing schedule for MLC elections for two graduates’ constituencies, the chances of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao making an announcement on this scheme is ruled out until March 22, when election code will end.

Hyderabad, Jan 31 : More than two years after promising unemployment allowance, the TRS government is gearing up to formulate a scheme as it seeks to check BJP, which is going aggressive in its attacks on the ruling party over unfulfilled promises.
Despite a big drop in revenue due to Covid induced lockdown and consequent slowdown, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government is contemplating to roll out unemployment allowance soon.
Plea to fill up veterinary posts through the department

The Veterinary Graduates Association has requested the government to fill up the vacant veterinary doctor posts through the Department Selection Committee rather than the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).
In a memorandum submitted to the Chief Secretary, Somesh Kumar, the association president Katam Sridhar Reddy and representatives Anil Reddy, Rajender, Mohanlal and Ramesh urged that the posts in veterinary department should also be considered on par with the medical and health department and fill up the posts through the department.
They said the recruitment of doctors for the last four years was delayed after the posts were transferred to the TSPSC for recruitment. The delegation said that the Chief Secretary responded positively to their suggestion.
