Intermediate practical examinations likely to be postponed

Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) is exploring option to postponed intermediate practical examinations that are scheduled to be held from April 7.
According to a report in Telangana Today, the board is considering three options viz., conducting exams as per the schedule, rescheduling them from April 10 and holding them after intermediate public examination (IPE) & Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main May session. The board has suggested these options to the State government.
It is also reported that government may take the decision on the intermediate practical examinations in a couple of days.

Case filed against Mahesh Bank Chairman & Vice-Chairman
Telangana Today reports the Banjara Hills police in Hyderabad have filed cases against the chairman, vice-chairman and managing director of the AP Mahesh Cooperative Urban Bank on charges of cheating and criminal breach of trust.
The cases are based on a complaint filed by Shyam Sunder Biyani, secretary of the AP Mahesh Cooperative Bank Shareholders Association.
Biyani’s allegations were that the board members manipulated the general body elections and embezzled funds of depositors and shareholders.
KTR sends surprise gift to TRS activist’s daughter on her birthday

Hyderabad: Acknowledging his diligent work for the party, Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) working president KT Rama Rao on Saturday sent a surprise gift to Karimnagar district party activist Khaja Nawaz Hussain’s daughter on her birthday.
For the past 20 days, Hussain has been busy campaigning for the graduate MLC elections that are scheduled to be held on Monday. Even with his maternal uncle passing away and his wife being over eight-months pregnant, he prioritized party work.
In a recent interaction with the party cadre in wake of the MLC election, KTR was made aware of Hussain’s work. During a video conference, Khaja told him about his daughter’s birthday on Saturday.
No IPL matches in Hyderabad: Azharuddin responds to criticisms

Hyderabad: Responding to the criticisms over no IPL matches in Hyderabad, Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) president Mohammed Azharuddin said that all attempts were made to ensure that Hyderabad is selected as one of the venues for season 14 of the tournament.
However, in the end, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council did not select Hyderabad as one of the IPL venues, he added.
Azharuddin further told that he had gone to Ahmedabad and spoke to secretary Jay Shah in this regard.
