It doesn t help when crews have to close down lanes to work, but at least they re giving us a heads-up and doing the work at night. Jake Smith with TxDOT s Waco Region Office (which covers our stretch of I-35) issued an alert Monday afternoon about closures happening Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night so that TxDOT crews can can do some paving and bridge joint work. Monday night (August 2), TxDOT will close two outside, northbound lanes of I 35 from South Loop 121 to Central Avenue. The on-ramps to SL 121, Holland Road, and the eastbound I-14 frontage road will also be closed.
