Phoenix Steal Two From Southern Virginia Softball

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. The Southern Virginia University softball team took on Wilson College on Saturday, falling in 9-1 in game one of the doubleheader and 5-4 in game two.
The Knights (3-11) struggled to get the bats going in game one, finishing the game with only two hits that came off the bats of Sophia Badell and Sydney Dolan.
Afton Brown drove in the lone run of the game for Southern Virginia, hitting a sacrifice fly to center field in the fifth inning.
The Phoenix (6-0) led 4-1 going into the bottom of the sixth but then scored five runs in the frame to end the game due to the eight-run rule.
